When you plant a daffodil, send a daffodil to a friend or make a donation you can provide us with your personal information. This data is stored on our secure computerised database to enable us to thank you for planting a daffodil, to inform a friend you have planted a daffodil in their name and to thank you for making a donation. Also, with your to keep you updated and informed about our work and how your donation(s) is being used. In the future, with your permission we may communicate with you by mail, email or telephone.
Credit Card Security
If you choose to make a donation, you will be asked to enter your credit card number. You will enter your number on a specific web page that is designed to protect your information. This page is called a Secure Page and is located on a specific server protected by Internet security protocols. These protocols ensure that communications between your browser window and the payment server are encrypted and cannot be intercepted by a third party.

The Irish Cancer Society uses Realex real-time payment-processing service to process its credit card payments. Realex Payments are the sole licensee for real-time credit card payments by the Allied Irish Bank in Ireland. Your credit card details are never seen by the Irish Cancer Society as the payment is handled completely by Realex Payments.
